Interactive Zone

It’s great for children to get stuck in with some real hands-on cooking and to have the opportunity to find out where their food comes from. This year there are plenty of free activities for children to participate in, including our Children’s Cookery School & Food Science Lab, and the all new Healthy Eating Trails from Tesco.

Children’s Cookery School & Food Science Lab
Using everyday ingredients, children will have fun creating a variety of simple, tasty dishes and learning some surprising ways to make ingredients fizz!
For more information about all the sessions, timings, and how to pre-book a place for your child, please visit our dedicated Children’s Cookery School & Food Science Lab page.

Tesco’s Healthy Eating Trails
The Festival is committed to encouraging healthy eating from an early age, and this year we have teamed up with Tesco’s Farm to Fork ‘Eat Happy Project’ to offer a completely new activity for children.
Within the Interactive Zone marquee, members of Tesco staff will be running free, Healthy Eating Trails throughout the weekend. The Trails are designed to be fun and help children to learn about healthy food choices, as well as giving them an opportunity to taste and make healthy snacks.
The Trails are designed for children aged 4-11, and every child will receive a certificate upon completion plus a goody bag containing a piece of fruit, stickers and an activity book to take home.
